Will wolves spread further? If yes, which consequences will this have?

Due to the wolf’s great potential for dispersal and adaptation, it is to be expected that migrating wolves can turn up everywhere in Germany, and that they settle down in areas with suitable habitats. Depending on the local conditions, this can lead to conflicts with land users, especially with livestock farmers and hunters. Immigration of wolves often cause fears and worries in the local population. For minimising conflicts and facilitating a coexistence with few conflicts between wolves and people, wolf management measures such as prevention, compensation of livestock damage, monitoring and public relations activities are necessary.
